Charity Night
14th June 2008
Lodge Thane of Fife proudly presents a charity night, in aid of Miss Amy Allan (Daughter of our WJW) on the 14th June 2008. The entertainment on that evening will be supplied by "Stars in your Eyes", a local group of entertainers who specialize in raising funds for various good causes.
Amy is a local 8 year old girl from Cowdenbeath, who suffers from Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy and is also Visally Impaired. All monies raised on the night will go to buying much needed adaptations for Amys Trike, which we hope will aid her into getting much needed leg exerercises in able to achieve her goal of her very first unaided step, and maybe let her lead a "as normal as expected life"

The Charity night held on behalf of Amy, was a tremendous success 120 people were in attendace and were entertained by Star's in Their Eyes Fife a company that has over the years raised a large sum of money for good causes. From the proceeds of the Tombolla, and a Raffle, along with the sale of ticket monies, the Lodge was able to hand over for the benefit of Amy the sum of OneThousand Pounds.
Our grateful thanks to all who supported this venture and made it the success that it was.
Barbeque & Fun Day
Saturday 4th August
The Barbecue and Fun Day was a huge success and many thanks are recorded to Bro Brian Simpson and Bro Tam Simpson for the enormous amount of hard work that went in to making this event possible. From 12 pm to 5 pm the children enjoyed a variety of games including a Bouncy Castle. From 5pm till late it was the adults turn when they enjoyed a Barbecue with wine, and later a Karaoke.The event was held in the newly refurbished garden which was able to be created from donation made by Mrs Margaret Slora the Widow of the late Bro John Slora. Margaret was able to be present with us for the unveiling of a commemorative plaque which hade been erected in memory of Bro. Slora..
